Searching for Blogs

I found the search tools inconsistent from day to day. My non-academic search was for a Greek word "yiayia" which means grandmother. I found odd uses of the word. I found one interesting long reflective blog entry from an ex-pat living in Greece. In the academic sphere I read my way through a few library owned, library produced "what's new" type blogs. Not sure that they are really valuable to a cc user.
